An Invitation to the Clinician Who Has Been Waiting
"People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own soul. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious." — C. G. Jung
Holistic Trauma Therapy® is not a practice that wants to expand its reach. It is a practice dedicated to full-spectrum trauma healing in Pasadena and Newport Beach, California — distinguished not by what we treat, but by how deeply and completely we treat it. We serve high-achieving professionals, executives, perfectionists, and survivors of childhood, sexual, workplace, religious, racial, and culturally complex wounding — people whose nervous systems learned, long ago, to perform in order to stay safe. We do not pathologize that performance. We trace it to its root.
If you trained somewhere that treats the psyche as a problem to be managed rather than a depth to be entered — you already know the quiet cost of that model. You have sat across from a client and felt the work asking for something the manualized protocol could not give. Holistic Trauma Therapy® was built for clinicians who feel that pull. We integrate evidence-based Western treatment with somatic healing, depth and transpersonal psychology, consciousness studies, Eastern wisdom, and indigenous traditions — the same integral lineage that institutions like the California Institute of Integral Studies have spent decades legitimizing. Led by Chief Traumatologist Seema Sharma, SEP, LMFT — a former Fortune 500 senior executive who spent 25 years inside the systems that wound people, then studied healing across five continents — this synthesis exists nowhere else in California.
We are growing. We are public-facing. We are ambitious about what healing can actually be. And we are searching for three clinicians ready to grow and to be changed by the work alongside us — one fully licensed clinician and two Associate Therapists. These seats are open in our Pasadena and Newport Beach offices. They include weekly clinical supervision with Dr. Caitlin La Brie, PsyD, plus a weekly marketing and business meeting. They are built around a compensation model that honors the clinician who treats caseload-building as a craft — not a chore, not an afterthought, but a discipline worthy of mastery.
This is not a job listing for someone who wants a desk and a referral queue. It is an invitation to a clinician who wants to be excellent at the work — and fully alive inside it. If that is you, keep reading. We have been waiting for you.
Current Openings
We are hiring three clinicians across two distinct roles in 2026: one Licensed Clinician and two Associate Therapists. Read both role descriptions closely. They are calibrated for different seasons of a clinician's life, and the right fit for one is rarely the right fit for the other.
Licensed Clinician
• LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist in California
• 5–10 years of clinical experience and a formed clinical voice
• Ideal candidates bring existing client relationships and a proven instinct for building a caseload
• Formally trained in either somatics, parts work, EMDR, or Brainspotting
• Depth-Focused: childhood and complex trauma · workplace trauma · religious trauma · sexual trauma · relational and intergenerational wounding
• Full-time · Newport Beach
Associate Therapist
• AMFT, APCC, ACSW, or Registered Associate Psychologist in California. Pending License Numbers also welcome to apply.
• Formally trained in either somatics, parts work, EMDR, or Brainspotting
• Trauma-trained & hungry to further train in somatic and depth modalities
• Hungry to build a caseload — past corporate, entrepreneurial, or business-development experience strongly preferred
• Depth-Focused: childhood and complex trauma · religious trauma · sexual trauma · LGBTQ+ affirming · neurodivergent affirming
• Two seats · one Pasadena, one Newport Beach
Licensed Clinician · LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist
For the licensed clinician whose work has outgrown the room it was trained in.
This is a full-time role for the clinician who has spent five to ten years forming a real clinical voice… and who is ready for a practice that takes that voice seriously. You bring depth. You bring presence. You can sit inside complexity without flinching and without rushing toward the exit of a tidy intervention. You may already carry client relationships you intend to bring with you. You know how to build a caseload, because you have done it before and you are ready to do it inside a brand that finally matches the seriousness of your work.
This role is for a clinician looking to work with clients who are predominantly in their 40s through 70s — leaders, executives, professionals, and survivors whose lives carry the kind of intricacy that asks for a clinician who has lived enough to meet them there. This is depth work in the truest sense: not the management of symptoms, but the slow, honest descent into what the symptom was protecting.
WHO YOU ARE
• LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist, fully licensed in California, with 5–10 years of clinical experience
• Trained in at least one depth or somatic modality: Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, AEDP, Brainspotting, depth psychotherapy, or comparable
• Demonstrated ability to build and convert your own caseload — references will be checked specifically on this
• Strong closing instinct — the ability to turn a consultation call into a committed therapeutic relationship
• Depth fit: complex trauma, workplace and corporate trauma, sexual trauma, religious trauma, relational and intergenerational wounding, or culturally complex care
• Past corporate, executive, or entrepreneurial experience strongly preferred — many of our clients are high achievers, and we serve them best when our clinicians have lived inside that world
• Lived experience that has been entered, metabolized, and integrated — not bypassed
• Bilingual clinicians strongly preferred — Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi, Punjabi, Farsi, Korean, or Vietnamese
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Hold a full caseload of private-pay adults navigating complex, workplace, sexual, and interpersonal trauma
• Help set the clinical tone of the practice and model depth-oriented, integrative care for the associate team
• Participate in practice clinical consultation and the weekly marketing and business meeting
• Maintain a fully on-brand presence — Psychology Today, HTT® website bio, LinkedIn, and approved outreach
• Actively build and sustain your caseload through marketing, networking, and brand-aligned outreach
• Contribute to a culture of internal referral and shared clinical depth across both offices
COMPENSATION
60-70% of net production. Designed so that your earnings rise directly with your build. Full mechanics are walked through at interview.
LOCATION
Hybrid. In-person sessions at our Newport Beach office, plus virtual therapy throughout California.
Associate Therapist · AMFT · APCC · ACSW · Registered Associate Psychologist
For the hungry, depth-called clinician ready to be trained into the real work.
"The cure for the pain is in the pain. A wound is the place where the Light enters you. The soul is here for its own joy." — Rumi · on the work of descent
We are hiring two Associate Therapists — one for Pasadena, one for Newport Beach. This is a role for the early-career clinician who feels the pull toward depth and refuses to be talked out of it. You may be an AMFT, an APCC, an ACSW, or a Registered Associate Psychologist. You are registered or pending in California. And you are not waiting, passively, for a career to be handed to you. You are building one — deliberately, hungrily, with your whole self in it.
Trauma does not live only in the narrative. It lives in the body, in the nervous system, in the parts of the self that learned to go silent. The clinicians who do this work powerfully are the ones willing to be apprenticed to it — to be supervised closely, to be changed by what they witness, to keep descending. Past corporate, entrepreneurial, sales, marketing, or leadership experience is strongly preferred; the capacity to build is part of the craft. So is lived experience that has been genuinely entered rather than intellectualized. We are looking for people of substance who treat caseload-building as a discipline and the psyche as sacred ground.
WHO YOU ARE
• AMFT, APCC, ACSW, or Registered Associate Psychologist — registered or pending in California
• Trained in at least one depth or somatic modality: Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, AEDP, Brainspotting, depth psychotherapy, or comparable
• Energized — not drained — by marketing yourself within HTT®'s brand framework
• Past corporate, entrepreneurial, sales, marketing, or business-development experience strongly preferred
• Lived experience that informs and deepens your work
• Bilingual clinicians strongly preferred — Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi, Punjabi, Farsi, Korean, or Vietnamese
• Drawn to one or more depth lanes: childhood and complex trauma, sexual trauma, workplace trauma, religious trauma, LGBTQ+ affirming care, racial trauma, dissociation, neurodivergent adults, relational trauma, or first responder families
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Build a caseload of 5+ clients in 90 days, with the expectation of 15+ clients within 12 months, supported by HTT®'s brand and marketing infrastructure.
• Receive weekly clinical supervision grounded in advanced somatic training
• Attend a bi-monthly marketing and business meeting — practical apprenticeship in building a sustainable practice
• Maintain an on-brand Psychology Today profile, HTT® bio, and LinkedIn presence
• Participate in associate outreach — Facebook therapist groups, Psychology Today, LinkedIn, Instagram, in-person networking — using HTT®-approved positioning templates
• Track your weekly pipeline: consultations, conversions, retention, and referrals
COMPENSATION
50% of net production, with an hourly draw structure during ramp-up — so you have a real base income from your first clinical hour. Mechanics walked through at interview.
LOCATION
Hybrid. In-person sessions at our Pasadena or Newport Beach office, plus virtual therapy throughout California. Two seats — one per office.
Who You Will Train Under
A practice is only as deep as the clinicians who hold its center. At Holistic Trauma Therapy®, you will be supervised, mentored, and challenged by two clinicians who have given their lives to this work.
DR. CAITLIN LA BRIE, PSYD
CLINICAL SUPERVISOR (PSY32211)
Dr. Caitlin La Brie, PsyD, is the clinical supervisor for our associate therapists. Her supervision is grounded in advanced somatic training — which means our associates are not taught to stay in the narrative when the body is asking to be heard. Under Dr. La Brie, supervision becomes its own form of depth work: reflective, embodied, and unhurried. She holds space for the associate to develop not only competence, but a genuine clinical voice — the kind that can sit with dysregulation, dissociation, and the slow work of nervous-system repair without reaching prematurely for technique.
CHIEF TRAUMATOLOGIST
SEEMA SHARMA, SEP, LMFT · FOUNDER
Seema Sharma, SEP, LMFT, is the founder and Chief Traumatologist of Holistic Trauma Therapy®. She is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, holds an MBA and an MA in Counseling Psychology, and is a PhD candidate in Psychology, integral & transpersonal psychology, with a focus on the Contemplative Neuroscience of Consciousness Studies. Before becoming a clinician, she spent 25 years in Fortune 500 leadership — General Motors, Pinterest, CBRE, Rexford Industrial, and Oakwood a subsidiary of Singapore's Temasek Holdings — and studied healing modalities across five continents. She leads the practice, sets its brand and clinical philosophy, and is the public voice of its mission.
"The successful analysis of a trauma is not a matter of removing it, but of restoring the person to a living relationship with their own depths. The body keeps the score — and the body, attended to, also keeps the way home."
— after Marion Woodman & the somatic tradition of Peter Levine
